Well we managed to survive our first real scare with Sophia being sick. She was seen at her doctors office on wed and I was told she had bronchiolitis which is a virus and was told not to be surprised if she got worse before better. Thurs she wasn't really herself a bit clingy and had a cough sparactcially and a fever that did go away with Tylenol but she still played here and there. Friday however a whole different story she was very lethargic and and was breathing very rapid. We took her to the urgent care initially only to be sent to the er she was stabilized there and we then had a nice ambulance ride to mary bridge where we had to have yet another er visit before being admitted .Fortunately her initial er visit offered all the information they needed and we did not have to undergo and additional testing. While the Drs and nurses were very informative and caring it was a bit stressful seeing so many drs in a very short visit. As mary bridge is also a teaching hospital we saw lots of drs we met with the interns and also the residents in the er and during her stay respiratory therapy and teams of drs they usually rounded as a team of 5. So in a 4 hour period we would she the respiratory therapist and as many as 3 -4 drs until they all rounded as team. We were thankful our visit only last 4 days and once Sophia perked up she did not need any additional assistance with breathing or iv fluids We were discharged with no medications and a follow up visit with her dr which went well she said her lungs were clear and all seemed well.
Enjoying our first snow only about an inch but still offered a few mintues of fun
